Chapter 42: Hampstead

Waking up this morning with sleep in my eyes, I wipe them clean with the cuff of my sleave and then climb out of bed.  Before standing up, I scan the room for any gifts “she” may have left me last night.  As I think back to yesterday, I note it was such a strange day, that I had a hard time sleeping all last night.

That is really saying something, considering every day for me is stranger than for most.  If I stop to really think about it, I might go insane just by all the nightmarish fueled images that run through my head.  Some days I just wish that this had never happened.  Others, I look forward to the moment when I get to lop off “her” head. 

While shrugging my shoulders, I murmur under my breath, “Maybe today will be a good day, who knows?”

Ignoring the constant dripping of the sink in the little kitchenette, I walk past and into the bathroom before settling down on the toilet.  Feeling something strange is about to hap
