In the dimly lit room, I sat alone, my face illuminated by the soft glow of a single candle flickering on the table beside me, there was a power outage in the house the moment he walked in.

The house was quiet, the only sound came from Catherine lighting up candles and the drizzling rain. The guards were already working on it.

I laid in a fetal position, watching the flickering candle and its shadow. What I felt was an emotional war that ravaged me from within. I continued to stare at it until the power came back up and I fell asleep.
