CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT
"The poison has spread. We can't do anything now. He has just one day left" The doctor told Dad. He nodded and gave a cold sigh before opening the door and going inside.
"I need a moment alone with him" He patted my head and I made my way outside.
"She will be devastated" He turned around to face Hayden.
"Ash said so. I can't do anything" Hayden raised his hands in surrender.
"When is he showing that pretty of his?" He asked.
"Soon" Hayden laughed.
The rooster crowed, announcing that the morning had come. I woke up and stretched my sore limbs. Getting up, I changed my clothes and made my way towards the infirmary. I opened the door to see that no one was on the bed.

I kept a look out for that person the whole funeral. Soon, the coffin was buried and everyone was going back. I stepped down, going after that person. He made his way outside and I followed him. When I reached outside, no one was there. I looked around, defeatedly, in order to catch something but was interrupted by Jeremy."Clare, is everything okay?" I tried running away but the ones left, attacked me with all their might and in the and they had caught me. I sat on the ground spitting blood from my mouth as they punched me hard. The leader laughed at me as he kicked me, but his leg was left in mid air as someone grabbed him by his throat and slammed him to the ground.I looked around to see the same person that was captured on the computer, hitting them but I couldn't see his face as it was well covered. I tried to get rid of the ropes but they were too tight. After making those guys unconscious, he turned towards me, and freed me from the ropes, covering my eyes, with the beanie I was wearing, in the process. I sat up, waking up with a start. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the chair in the dark. Turning around, I opened my bedside lamp. Looking back I could see no one. I had woken up with a strange feeling, that someone was watching me. The room was dark so it took me a while to adjust myself but there was no one.'Why am I having these stupid feeling that someone is watching me' I thought before shaking my head."I am going nuts" I spoke out loud flopping back on the pillow, but sat up alarmed as I heard a laugh. I sat up, looking here and there but it was no avail. After walking up for nearly fifteen minutes I reached his office floor. I sighed happily but what I saw next left me in shock. Someone was hurrying up the stairs and that someone was the person in black. I rushed after him, towards the roof."STOP" I shouted at him, making him stop in his tracks."Who are you?" I asked him and felt completely stupid, knowing he didn't want to tell me who was he, because he covered his face."I know that you don't want to show your face to me but why are you helping me?" I stood outside the court as she entered it."I wanted to ask you something?" She asked him."Ask away, child, ask away" He spoke in his small but strong voice."Is Hayden Daunter alive?" I closed my eyes on her question."Being in the other realm of Magna doesn't mean that fate changes. No, it doesn't. Your mother and Hayden Daunter are dead, even here." Listening to his reply, I took a deep breath as Hayden's death body flashed in front of my eyes, making me clench my hands. I decided to hide as I heard her footsteps moving towards the door, but they stopped, making me stop too."Then who is the person that has been following me, since his death?" She asked, her voice trembling.

After ditching the stationed guards, we sat in our cars, each one having its own and made our way towards the apartment we had bought in order to do our work secretly. I smiled at the rear view window as I saw a SUV following us. The driver was the person in the black. I turned on the radio and Zayn’s Vibez song blasted on the speakers. I enjoyed the music, lipsing it as I opened the roof and let my hair loose as the wind blew them back.After driving for almost two hour we reached our destination. I stepped outside keeping my eyes trained around. The SUV had also stopped a little far from us. The person went inside the apartment complex that was beside the one we had rented.
