CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE

By noon the following day, Grace and Enrique were married, first in the courthouse in the presence of Sophia, Cesare and Miguel and Janet as their witnesses.

After the court wedding, they proceeded to the local church where The Blacks worshipped and were wed in front of all their family and friends.

Grace's wedding dress was a simple strapless white dress. It had intricate designs on it, she was no longer using the wig because her ginger-red hair had been dyed brown and styled to perfection at Sophia's insistence.

She looked so beautiful that Enrique totally forgot to breathe when she wanted down the aisle to face him.

Grace had no father or uncle to do that for her, so Miguel took on the responsibility since he was the one who introduced her to Enrique in the first place.

Grace laughed when she discovered tears in Enrique's eyes. He seemed so nervous and unlike himself. Grace also felt like crying, this was the moment she had thought was never going to be hers.
