7: FIELD TRIP

MIRANDA'S POV

The sound of my alarm crowed like an early morning rooster. I should have got rid of this ugly clock a long time ago, but It was a gift from my best friend, Clarke. She had a wild sense of humour, plus she had a very peculiar obsession with chickens. I reached my hand out, smacking the clock to get it to turn off. Soon, the silence was deafening. I twisted out of bed with the blankets knotted around my body, causing me to stumble on the floor. In frustration, I untangled the sheets from my limbs and threw them on the bed. I woke up early today so I could get ready for my class field trip. Mrs. King was taking us to the Cresttooth Bridge, which was said to be one of the oldest pieces of landmark in the town.
