“What room was it again? You're not hypnotizing me again, are you?”
“Why should I be cruel to just one person in a single day? If you want the answers to your questions, just do as I say or I'll send you back home, and be warned: no matter how hard you look for her, you'll never find her. I'm your only option, so take it!”
The prospect of not receiving answers after coming this far was terrifying.
“I'll accompany her.”
“You should have said it earlier. Now, obey Anne and follow her.”
“Ma'am, yes.”
He got to his feet and followed Anne out of the office. They did not return the way they came, but instead went in a different direction. They passed through so many rooms, and his mind kept wandering to what he would find in the room he was supposed to enter. Anne finally came to a halt in front of a door that appeared to be very old and unrelated to the mansion.

When his mother left, he started scanning the room. It was packed with his photos, as if someone had been following him around his entire life. Depending on the situation, she could be both benevolent and cruel, like a white witch. She had seen a lot over the last fifteen years, people coming and going, and so on. Each family has its own house, and where you lived on the island was determined by your job. There were so many departments on the island; some were in charge of the overall upkeep of the mansion, even though Violet didn't spend much time there.They also kept sheep for the fur they used to make Violet's coats as well as exporting some to reliable customers, cattle rearing and chicken farming, they also grew certain crops including fruits like apples, grapes, and pears, and they didn't forget fishing.In other words, the island was a huge corporation that made millions of dollars every year, so everyone who stayed on the island was a worker with the same rights as everyone else unless they were bound by some contracts made prior to their employment.

She was exhausted after surveying the entire island's operations; it had been a day since they arrived, and Dylan was with his mother.
