Freya opened her eyes two agonizingly long hours later, and Lucian started grilling her right away, eager to get the truth out of her this time. What happened to the man that approached you in front of Hastings?

“Gunman?”

Her already pale face immediately grew paler.

“Freya?”

She glared. "No one."

He tightened his fists. "It might be something if he's from your pack and he followed you here," the person said.

She shook her head while closing her eyes.

Okay, we'll learn everything we need to know after we capture the idiot. He took a moment to wait for her to cave. When she didn't, he recommenced his assault on her. "He broke into your room, touched you physically—"

“I… He didn't break into my room, in my opinion.

The question "How do you know?" She made no comment.

Then we got physical with you. Lucian barely managed to control his wrath. Why did she defend the cretin?

"A little irate."
