CHAPTER 154 - THE MOON'S PLAN

“YOU MADE THE CHOICE, LYCAN, I DON'T ACCEPT THIS FATE!” roared the beast in my mind, mercilessly throwing us into the icy water. The current became overwhelming; it was a tough struggle to swim against it. The penetrating cold made the joints stiffen.

“Trying to hasten your death, even before fulfilling your destiny, King Lycan?” the voice of the Moon Goddess echoed in the surroundings.

“Goddess, if you don't mind, I'm a bit busy right now,” I growled, swimming towards the shores, trying to escape the assaults of the tumultuous water as fangs clashed.

“In moments like this, my subjects usually cry out for my help, Alpha.” The deity's voice became closer as if she were approaching.

“Do they usually do that before or after their destinies are shaped by the whims of the gods?” I panted as I emerged from the water, shaking off the drenched fur to rid myself of the relentless cold.

“You've always been a stubborn wolf, even as a pup.” In her lupine form, the Moon Goddess appeared majestic,
