FIFTY THREE

Mila tightened her jacket and walked out of a coffee shop a block from her office, carrying a cup of hot chocolate and a paper bag of tuna mayo and croissants. Mila accidentally bought her breakfast on foot and left her car at the office so she could enjoy the cold and bustling atmosphere of a Chicago morning.

It's like a new experience for her. Walk with people who will also work like her. She could see a flower selling woman on the side of the road. She arranges beautiful winter flowers. There's baby breath, bright yellow winter aconite, and pinecones that are beautifully crafted in white wrapping paper. Mila was very excited when she saw it. Unfortunately she didn't need flowers right now, so she didn't buy any. She just kept walking with lighter steps towards the crossroad to cross with the others.

But Mila was too focused on the scene of the morning rush in Chicago to notice where her nets were going. A car suddenly sped up, ran through a traffic light that was supposed to stop
