NINETY NINE

There's no hope. Felix threw his cell phone into the console then stepped on the pedal down the hill. He was completely pessimistic when the investigator told him that they only managed to find a coat instead of Ezra's body. Perhaps the shark had eaten all of his flesh down to the bones and was left with only the unpleasant tasting coat.

Whatever it was, Felix felt so sad that his heart constricted. Never had he felt such a terrible loss. When his mother died years ago from an illness, he was of course sad. As an only boy he wept over his mother's death for five seconds after his doctor told him that she had succumbed to her illness, but the doctor assured him that it was exactly what his mother wanted. Quiet and peaceful. Felix felt no need to cry over his mother for too long because his mother had been free from the pain that had been eating her body for years.
