Aislinn found herself back at her apartment. She had originally intended to pack up and run. She had about $200 in cash from tips hidden beneath her mattress and she figured that she could catch a bus and get out of town before Rafe finished with the wolves. But as she walked inside she only barely managed to lock the door behind herself. She had never had a premonition that strong before or during the day. Not to mention the court case and then Cullen. Just thinking his name hurt. It briefly occurred to her that her premonitions had always given her information about the future in a fuzzy way. Rafe continued to watch from the shadows. He was getting tired and was cursing himself for bring Aislinn here. That was a miscalculation and he would see that she paid for what she had done. I probably wouldn't have kept going if it weren't for all the great feedback. When Cullen pulled up in front of Aislinn's place everything looked normal. He elbowed Keith awake. "Hey, watch the door," he said as he jumped out of the driver's seat and headed up the stairs to the main doors of the apartment building.Keith sat up. Looking around it took him a minute to realize where they were. This was the apartment where that girl Cullen had helped out lived. He watched the door the way Cullen asked. But he couldn't help notice the bum lying face down in the garbage next to the steps. Keith got out of the SUV and looked up and down the street nervously. It just didn't feel right.He walked over to the poor old man lying in the garbage and turned him over. "Hey buddy, you okay?"The old man groaned. "I mean you told me to check on her and when I got there she was unconscious and didn't look at all well. So I called Jake and helped me bring her back here. "I'm afraid to ask how you know about that," he replied. Then he just couldn't help himself, she was awake, she didn't seem angry with him, and he didn't care about anything other than tasting her right then. He leaned down to her and nuzzled her nose with his own a moment, testing her reaction. When she didn't pull away or push him off of her he pressed his lips to hers and kissed her softly at first and then deeper as she kissed back. It took a little coaxing and she parted her lips allowing his tongue to dip into her mouth and slip along her teeth and tongue. As the kiss continued she felt waves of electricity surging through her body. Heat pooled in her stomach and she twined her leg around his then moaned softly into his mouth when he pushed his hips against her.They parted briefly, staring into each other's eyes and trying to read the emotions there.
