CHAPTER 27
I bolt out of the house, my heart pounding.
Trent is not okay. I don't say a word to Grammy coz Trent's life is in danger, and there's no time for stories. He's stranded in a gas station and he's given me the direction already.
I find a motorbike just outside Nate's door. I don't care to borrow it and thank God I learnt how to ride a bike. Dax taught me. I speed off without thinking twice and I hear Grammy call my name but I can't look back. Trent is stranded right now and he needs my help.
I get to the gas station within twenty minutes. I stop the bike and leap. I don't see Trent anywhere. It's just an old man standing stiff, smoking a cigarette.
