Chapter 28

POV Lance

I frowned at my phone as I hung up. That was the third time I had tried calling Sammy in the last two hours and she just wasn't picking up. I took a deep breath to calm down. She might be in training with Rune or working on a class. Hell, she might just have her phone on silent or it might be out of battery. There was no reason for me to be upset or worried.

No matter what though, I couldn't get rid of the ball of dread in my stomach though. This was the first time in the week in a half that I couldn't get a hold of her within a few minutes and it was bothering me.

I strode through my pack house nodded to my pack members as I took out my phone and stared at it. I sighed and decided to just give in and call Eddie. I knew that he might teased me but at this point I didn't give a shit. I needed to know that my mate was safe.

He picked it up on the second ring.

"Hello, Alpha" he said and I could feel his tension through the phone.
