I crawled to the sacred tree slowly. Even in the midst of so many trees in the forest, it still stood out with its unusual color of bark, branches and atmosphere.

Ever since the witch was burnt on that tree, it had refused to yield anything.

Even the sky above it was dark. Despite the scorching sun in the forest, the immediate vicinity of the tree was dark, almost as dark as the night.
