"All this time, all I've done is try to be understanding. I'm not trying to absolve myself of the blame for our relationship being this way, but I definitely can't take it anymore. "I confessed dejectedly. The look on Cassie's face became surprised and I would even say frightened.

"What do you mean you can't take it anymore? What are you talking about, John?" she questioned exasperatedly, approaching me.

"When did our relationship become boring? When did everything I did start to annoy you and vice versa?" my question came out as a plea. No one started a relationship thinking about its end, but when it came closer, covering it up was no longer an option. Cassie opened and closed her mouth several times, searching for what to say.
