I don't know exactly how long I stayed reading, but I was awakened by the incessant ringing of the doorbell. Confused, I got up and followed it to the door, wondering at the desperation of whoever it was that was desperately pressing the bell. As I looked through the magic eye and realized that it was Cassie, I found it even more strange. I opened the door without understanding the reason for her presence and received an inexpressive look from the woman in front of me.

Noticing my doubtful expression, she spoke up.
