Funnel cakes and confusion

"Hey Sophie, let's go for some funnel cake. You could use some mood lightening." The boy said and Sophie wasn't sure why she agreed with no problem following this boy to the funnel cake stand. They stood online and the wonderful smell of fresh baked dough and sugar filled her nose, a sense of delight washing over her knowing she'll be able to eat funnel cake. One of her favorites. "Hi, can I have two funnel cakes please?" He asked and Sophie realized he's paying for hers and she goes to take out her wallet being stopped by him. "What are you doing?" He asked looking at her, Sophie raised her wallet and he waved it off "I was gonna pay for mine-" "No, my treat. end of discussion." He said and she nods her head allowing him to do it since he wouldn't let her pay for hers. A few minutes later they're both given their funnel cakes and Sophie smiles taking a bite out of it, a satisfactory groan leaving her mouth. "Damn, it's that Good? I made the right choice taking you to get it then, p
