After having a conversation with the alpha, I came to the conclusion that the only person who is able to help and support Russell is the alpha's mother due to the connections she has. When she discussed her plan to save Russell's life with me, she gave off an air of complete assurance. I was perplexed and frightened, and I had no idea what actions I ought to take. But I was adamant about my refusal. I really hope that there is another option available to me.

When I turned around to head back to my room, the alpha's mother blocked my path. "Eva, we need to talk."

She addressed me in a reprimanding manner. I heaved a sigh, turned my head, and looked at her with an expression of exasperation before muttering, "yes, madam."

She dragged me into her room and then locked the door behind me as soon as we were inside. She looked at me and then asked me in a straightforward manner, "so, what's your decision?"
