Ryder's POV

"I don't believe I was instructed to always let you know about my movements, Hudson," I said with a small scoff as I sat up straight in my seat and began gathering the papers on my table and stacking them together at a corner.

Hudson's eyes narrowed into a frown as he folded his arms across his chest. With a hint of anger in his tone, he retorted, "when it has to do with matters concerning the image of the pack, I think you should let me know."

"What does my coming back have to do with the image of the pack?" I asked as I looked up at Hudson, one of my brows raised. "And who told you that I was back?"

"The same people who told me about the new guest that you managed to sneak into the our home," Hudson asserted as he slammed the door behind him. A frown formed on my face as I immediately stopped what I was doing. I then shifted my attention to him fully, watching as he slowly approached my table.
