Chapter 302

Upon turning my head to look at the table, I discovered that each and every one of the dishes was my favorite.

Given that I had been living in this house with Amanda for two years, she was aware of the dishes that I liked the most.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked Adrian while eyeing the food.

I turned my head at him with a brow lifted.

"Did you poison any of the food?"

He gave me a poker face as if I said something meaningless.

"What?"

"Eat."

After placing some food on a plate that he had grabbed, he then placed the plate in front of me.

Suddenly, I remembered how I had been waiting for him in this dining room for the nights, thinking that he would return and I could serve him food like that. But he never returned home.

I looked away from the plate. Why could I just not forget those things?

People moved on in their lives, didn't they? Why could I not do the same?

I ignored looking at him and focused on eating. I ate fast so that I could leave this house as soon as possible.
