I relaxed into my large bed, the meeting having being concluded shortly after Khan left with Kent and I had thanked Jack gratefully for his help in saving my life before retiring to my bedroom.

I lay down for several hours but oddly sleep never came and I could guess I was still recovering from the trauma of having being imprisoned, in that stone cellar with Jhamal, for days. Neither of us had actually slept but most of our time was spent in forced conversations and acceptances of death.

Sooner I left the room, walking down to very large parlour below before heading to kitchen where I grabbed a mug, hoping that a good cup of tea would fix my psych.

"Could not sleep?" Teira's voice startled me, and the cup filled with my tea that I held wavered as I swiftly turned in the window seat of the living room.

She wore a long white gown, and her dark long hair fell down her back, out of the tight pony-tail that I had seen it in earlier. Her eyes appeared tired yet alert
