Chapter 2;

"Marriage plans." Her voice, rough and hazy.

He finally accepted defeat and sighed, he wasn’t ready to marry, all his life, it was just him training hard along with Zane and Lucas.

"Think about it, I chatted with Natasha over the phone yesterday, and Nicole’s still single." He didn’t find it odd at all, Natasha, Nicole’s mother and his mother had gone way back, they were all friends.

"Why would I care?" He demanded.

She shrugged, following his eyes movement.

"Your father wants you married." He winced slightly.

His father.

His father. The most notorious mafia boss in all of Italy, wanted his own son to get married, when he looked at the concept, he wondered why his sweet mother fell in love with such a guy, his father was cruel basically to him, training him hard all day long.

'A man can never be weak.'

But, there was some soft part of his father, and when they weren’t seen training they were having a manly conversation.

"I don’t care." His eyes darkened.

Camilla heaved a sigh, it would take hell confusing her son to get married. "What kind of woman do you want?"

He pondered quietly, massaging his temples with his fingers. "Someone who’s quiet, not that pretty, I don’t like pretty girls, and lastly.” Those melancholy eyes gazing at her. “Someone I can torment."

Camilla pretended not to have heard the last sentence, "Nicole is exactly what you want, she’s quiet, she smart, and you two will make a powerful couple, besides, I can feel the spark."

He thought for a while, in all aspect, his mother was right, Nicole was absolutely what he needed, he hated her, he could torture her, vent all his hate at her.

Just by wondering how her scream would feel like, how much it would bring him pleasure. "I will marry her." His lips twitched upward.

"Are you sure?" Camilla leapt in joy, her eyes gazing at her son, was he serious? Or simply joking with her?

"Yes." He stood up.

"When will you leave for New York?" Her voice was shrill.

"Tomorrow." He walked towards the stairs.

"Wait." She called out and he gazed back at her, with a raised brow.

"Are you sure about this? If you don’t want to get married, I will inform Natasha."

He hummed. "There is a reason." He climbed the stairs. Lucas trailing behind him.

Camilla: "…"

-

Ever since little, everyone had wondered about Nicole’s Hart special ability, her logical reasoning, or her high IQ, some wondered whether it was a trait inherited from her father, or whether her IQ was just naturally high.

Nicole Hart had a definition, she was quiet, never spoke, people thought it was weird, but heck it wasn’t, it was hard to know what she was thinking, she never laughed, nor joked, but, she could get angry, and the only person that could succeed in making her flare up, was her twin brother, Nicholas.

Presently, her hands were fixated on the railing, as she gazed from her office view, the sight of the busy city, her hair flowed quite nicely, and her gray eyes, they sparkled as they glistened.

She found no interest in what she was doing, however, her eyes scanned the whole area, with a slight perk of the lips.

"Niccy," she turned around suddenly, only one person called her that.

"Mother." She was amused seeing the two woman walked in hands in hands. "Aunt Nova,"

Natasha smiled at her, taking a seat. "How have you been?"

Aunt Nova simply gazed at her, with eyes full of love.

"I am good," She turned to Aunt Nova. "And your son, how’s Damien?"

Aunt Nova just casted a smile, tucking Natasha’s shoulders.

Natasha coughed slightly. "Nicholas is married, isn’t he?"

Nicole nodded slightly, already knowing where the discussion was leading to.

Natasha sighed for a while, it was hard talking to her daughter, she wasn’t someone easy to talk to. "And you?"

Nicole gazed sharply, and the two women glanced at each other. "Just find someone who is capable."

They stared at each other then back to her. "Capable?"

"I don’t need a husband." Her tone was firm, "Just someone capable to stay by my side."

They squished their face in confusion. What did someone capable mean? Was it even a word?

She leaned on the chair, her hands arranging the folders, she stared back at the confused women. "I need someone who wouldn’t bother me, we would act differently but live in the same house, we wouldn’t love, just neutral, and the other end has to agree too."

They nodded their head like automatic robots.

"Can you do that?" They nodded again.

"Great!" She grasped a pen. "When you find someone like that, let me be informed." Her head made a curt bow, she wasn’t some woman who would die for love, who would foolishly beg a man to love her, she was different, extremely different, she was Nicole Hart, the unbeatable successor of the Hart family.

She wouldn’t fall in love.

She just couldn’t, even the word sounded pathetic, love, they were only for losers.

And Nicole Hart wasn’t a loser.

She gazed at the two women again. "I think you should be busy trying to find such man?" She raised a hearty brow.

Natasha fiddled her hands, earlier today, she received a text from Camilla that Xander had agreed to get married to Nicole.

She put the pieces together,

He was just like her, she wasn’t sure if he would love, and he was always neutral. They fit, they matched together.

"I think I already found someone." Natasha said suddenly.

The folders in her hands trembled slightly. Her own mother had found someone who matched her request. That sounded silly.

"Who?"

"Xander Castillo." Nicole’s face paled.
