32. Honeymoon? Honeymoon.

I suck in a breath, in awe at the beautiful view in front of me. Aspen is gorgeous, I’ve always wanted to come here ever since I was a little girl, but never thought I’d ever get the opportunity.

Now I’m standing on Christian’s private airstrip, overlooking the vast snowy dips and falling in love with the sight.

“This is just…wow…” I trail off with my hand on my heart.

Christian chuckles and kisses the side of my head. “You like?”

“I love!” I squeal, jumping into his arms. “This is perfect, Christian, thank you!”

After Paris, I didn’t expect to feel like this, especially with my mother leaving for home. Just feeling happy now makes my heart clench with guilt, but I know she would have wanted me to enjoy this time with Christian.

“Well, wait till you see the cabin,” he whispers into my ear and takes my hand. “I had it cleaned out and stocked yesterday, so we won’t have to go anywhere for a while. Oh, and it has a fireplace, too.”
