Chapter 31

That night, Andrew didn’t come back to the house. And he still wasn’t home the next morning.

So Taylor sat in the dining room having breakfast alone. But a few minutes after she started, she heard the door open and after a few seconds of hearing his footsteps, the man’s suffocating presence filled the dining room as he strutted in and sat down. Then began eating.

After what seemed like forever, she dropped her cutlery and looked up at him.

She was about to say something when she noticed the bloodstains on his collar.

Her first instinct was to ignore it whilst praying it was him, but when she recalled what she had learned in meditation classes and what she read in the textbooks.

While Andrew and everyone else thought she had finally become submissive to him, she simply just came to terms with the fact that going head-on against him won’t do her any good.

He was stronger than her, richer, and more influential. Furthermore, she didn’t have anyone to stand up to him if word got out about
