Nyx's POV

I tried not to listen to the side talks that began flying about the moment I entered the school premises with Narek.

The students were already in their mythical forms and were discussing amongst themselves in groups.

An Elf whispered into the other's ears, and they both giggled while staring right at me while some witches in the corner glared at me in scorn as I walked by.

I tried to appear unfazed by their actions, but the reality of what lay ahead of me had me shaking in my boots.

A certain vampire saw me coming and bared its fangs at me, I cowered frightfully, and he burst into mocking laughter.

I pulled the book Narek had given me to my chest and focused on the task at hand, shoving other thoughts aside.

We got to the assembly, and Narek walked to where the other teachers were sitting. He settled on one of the chairs and forced me to stand beside him, still holding onto the book.
