Twenty minutes later, both Ella and Javier were already ready and walked down the twin spiral staircase hand in hand. Javier was wearing a black blazer, a white shirt, and a pair of matching dark pants. Ella was wearing a spaghetti strap gold satin floor-length gown. Since her hair was wet from the shower, she only dried it with a towel and a bit of hairdryer, leaving her dark hair semi-dry and down her back.
First, they made a quick stop at the kitchen, where Maxon Rupert Summers was still in the middle of cooking and commanding his army of chefs.
“Max,” Javier called his younger brother from the kitchen door.
It took a while before his younger brother left his station and approached them. “Hi, Jav. If you are worried about anything, you need not. I have everything covered. Tonight will be epic,” he reassured his brother.

After a month of touring Asia and visiting five countries including Japan, Indonesia, India, the Philippines, and China, both Javier and Ella were thoroughly satisfied and exhausted. Javier had insisted on carrying her into their house. “You’ve done this every time we arrived at every hotel we went to,” complained Ella, pretending to be mad when she actually didn’t want him to waste more energy especially when they both were already drained. “I’m pretty sure you don’t need to do it again.” “It’s a tradition for a groom to carry the bride,” explained Javier. It was around midnight when Javier finally went looking for his phone. Despite Clarabelle’s wish for her brother not to touch anything related to work, he still needed to check his emails, and the only way to do that was through his phone. Especially since his sneaky little sister had insisted that he’d left his laptop at the office two days before the honeymoon. “Damn, where did I put it?” he mumbled to himself as he scanned through his living room. It wasn’t on the table or any surface that he could see, so he started digging through the pillows. Five minutes later he managed to find his missing phone and was just about to unlock the aforementioned phone when it suddenly rang out of nowhere startling him. His immediate reaction in his sleepy state was to reject the call. It was from Draven. He was about to call his brother back when his phone rang again. “You’re being too kind, Mr. Summers,” said Aimee with a small smile. “I thought I’ve told you to call me by my name,” said Draven. His charming smile was full on display as he turned to face her, clearly unaware of the onlookers. “If you still address me as Mr. Summers, I’m afraid I must insist on calling you Nurse Sonata or maybe Miss Sonata.” “Draven. Sorry,” Aimee muttered as she looked away and realized that there were at least four pairs of eyes looking at them. “Alright. Ella watched with amusement as eight practically grown up men were all acting nervous and looking like a dog about to be scolded by its master in front of their five feet tall mother. While Tiffany was scolding her sons, particularly Thornton and Draven who had first concocted the idea of not telling their mother, her husband, Cedric, whom Ella had only met on a few instances due to his busy schedules, approached Ella and Qingshan. Declan’s wife had been standing next to Ella when the doctor had arrived. “Good evening,” he greeted with a polite smile. A frown slowly appeared on his forehead. “I should probably join Tiffany and scold your husbands for even letting you come here and camp in the waiting room when you should be resting on your bed back home.” Cedric looked at Qingshan, there were evident worries in his blue eyes. “Especially you, Qingshan. Much to everyone’s dismay and disappointment, the hospital’s policy didn’t allow more than one person to stay the night. In the end, Ella was the one staying in Clarabelle’s room while both Javier and Draven were staying in a hotel nearby. “You both should head to the hotel and get some sleep,” said Ella to both her husband and Draven. All of them were evidently exhausted. This night had taken more than a physical toll on everyone. Now that the storm had indeed passed, they should rest up for the next day. “I’ll see you guys in the morning, okay?” “You too. Rest well.” Javier leaned down and planted a small kiss on top of Ella’s head. His baby blue eyes locked with Ella’s brown eyes.
