CHAPTER FORTY NINE: SHE SWIMS?

I woke up the next morning with last night's event still on my mind. Winnie was still sleeping beside me and I decided not to wake her up.

I knew she'd have a terrible hangover by the time she was awake so I called Mrs Catherine and told her to make her famous hangover soup. It always worked for me in the past so I knew it'll work for her too.

When she arrived, she was worried about Winnie but I assured her all was ok.

“Are you sure she's fine sir? She's never been drunk since I've known her so what happened this time?” She kept on asking.

“Like I said, we went out for dinner and she had too much to drink. She's currently in my room sleeping, you can go and take a look at her if you want to”. I told her, pointing towards the direction of my room.

“Yes I'll love to do that, thank you”. She said as she went to my room and I followed closely behind her.

We got to my room and Winnie was still sleeping soundly like a baby. Mrs Catherine went to her, looking at her lovingl
