I went downstairs and luckily, the cook was in the kitchen already.

“Good morning ma”. I greeted her when I was closer to her.

“Good morning my son, how was your night?” She asked and I smiled as I remembered the things that transpired last night and even this morning.

“It was wonderful”. I said and composed myself.

“Could you please prepare something for Winnifred to eat? She's not really strong”. I said and she nodded.

“Wait, did something happen to her? Did she fall sick or something?” The woman asked as if it was just now that she understood what I said earlier.

“No no not at all, she's perfectly fine. She's just weak but it's nothing to worry about”. I told her, trying to calm her down and it seemed to work because she became more relaxed.

“Alright then. When I'm done, I'll bring it up to your room”. She said and continued with what she was doing.

I then went back upstairs and found Winnie fast asleep. She looked as beautiful as ever with her messed up ha
