Chapter 6 - Rain or shine

Oliver POV:

The music is annoyingly loud, I didn’t fvcking sleep a wink last night. Not that I need much sleep. Werewolves are different from lowly humans. We get tired less or not at all, our injuries heal in no time and our s*x drive is hitting sky high.

Or maybe the last part applies only to me.

I have a different woman in my bed every night, except for last night.

Not that I didn’t try, but that Kylie girl put a curse on me or something similar. My wolf kept disputing with me when I’ve brought home that girl I’ve met at the inauguration party of my new hotel.

Trashy curved body in a red reveling dress with high stiletto heels, I can’t remember her name even if someone were to torture me, but let’s call her the blonde with a cleavage that could gain her a place in fvcking heaven.

And I couldn’t fvcking get it hard.

There. I said it.

For the first time in my entire life, I could not get my member to awaken.

My wolf continued defying me, denying me the pleasure of a more than promising night. The woman put some work in it as if she would be a professional, she used those Botox lips on my manhood until they became numb, she rubbed her globes around it and she even danced in my lap, like a striptease artist.

She possessed skills of highest value for my s*xual needs, if not for the fact that my crooked brain couldn’t stop thinking about the sweetest lips I’ve ever tasted and the most enticing flavored body I’ve had beneath me, belonging to the woman I would be making love to until the end of times.

Where are these ideas coming from?

FVCKING HELL!

BY ALL MEANS, NO!

But look how my member is throbbing in my pants at the simple thought of her, now you’re getting hard, no?

When was the last time my wolf was so freaking happy at a mere mental image? Never.

Last night, nothing.

The big t*ts blonde took it as a challenge, being offended beyond the bounds of possibility. Hours passed until she finally gave up. I was bored long ago, but I have a soft spot for persistent people, so I let her try her best.

Her glance of anger mixed with pity before leaving the room made me crack in loud laughter. Oh, she will no doubt get over it for she got her well-deserved check.

“Again smiling at something only you understand, brother? Some may think the big bad Oliver Kade is losing his mind.” Mark again with his foolish blabbering, I swear to God, I don’t understand how the two of us can be related.

I roll my eyes in irritation as a response.

“Has one night’s lack of s*x altered you beyond repair?” He continues. “I’ve watched you all night and you never glanced at any of the girls that sent tiresome signals of accessibility. You drank and drank and drank again, pouring glass after glass, as if it had any effect on us, the alcohol.” He chuckles.

That’s the downside of not being human. Though it’s not entirely true that it doesn’t affect us at all, the effect doesn’t last much. Tonight I was testing the limits, the result is not one that pleases me.

“It’s not like I haven’t guessed that you are head over heels over that woman from the office, the first time in my existence, I see you smitten about a girl.” He declares. “Was she that savvy in the sack?” His stupid grin makes the muscles of my stomach clench.

God, give me patience, for he’s my family and I don’t want to kill him, although in this instant it gives me great satisfaction imagining his brain spread on some walls, his blood pouring out from everywhere.

“Mark, if you don’t shut it right this second, I’ll make sure you’ll regret being born!” I growled, my stare life threatening.

“Fine, I’ll change the subject.” He pours me another glass of too many types of alcohol blended, a drink that could kill a horse, but will do nothing to my body, or my mind. “What do you think about that wasted brunette girl in the corner, the one wearing that little black dress while dancing like a little wh**e?”

“How the fvck is that changing the subject?” I smash the glass on the floor, the entire surrounding crowd looking at me, their gaze perplexed. “Is there something else in that head of yours besides a*s and b**bs?

“Why, brother? Are you suggesting that your mind is filled with something else? With what? Since when?” He demands, quirking his brow at me.

“I’m leaving, hope not to see you in the next few days!” I threaten before taking my jacket and heading out.

Tomorrow is fvcking Monday and I have some pack affairs outside town, not going to the office where she will be pains both me and my wolf, but being the Alpha of the most powerful pack comes with obligations, especially when I failed in finding my mate until 35 years old, a pack is not complete without their Luna.

And if that Luna is a human, as my manhood suggests, and my guts too, I might face some mutiny from inside or even attacks from the enemy packs, if they sense the slightest window of opportunity.

Needless to say that I’m not gonna give them the chance.

Kylie POV:

“Rise and shine, hon! Aren’t you going to work?” A manly voice I know so well awakes me from my sweet dreams into the reality hellhole.

“Peter, where have you been? I haven’t seen you in days!” Trying to blink the sleep away, I glance at my brother, scolding him for his absence.

“Well I came home Friday night, but you weren’t, where were you?”

“Working?” My voice came out unfamiliar to my ears.

“You sure? You blushed!” He inquires, his eyes lit with interest.

No, I was making love to the most seductive man that ever walked on this earth, that treated me like a princess until he tried to pay me as he’d pay a h**ker. All that after he had my innocence, giving me in return waves and waves of great pleasure.

That’s what I did Friday night, a painful story I’ll share with no one, furthermore with my brother.

I push the pain away. “You didn’t answer my question.” I underline the obvious, also trying to dodge the awkwardness.

“I don’t need to. I’m somewhat old, don’t you think so? Plus, you should know where I’ve been, we’ve discussed it already.”

“Oh, yes, your class was in charge of that festival and you all stayed at the hotel. I remember, I paid for that.”

And because of that, I didn’t have money for the rent in time and the landlord tried to blackmail me into sex, but hey, life is great.

“Yes you did.” He adds, his voice low, staring down at his shoes.

“You might be old, but since I’m working my ass to put food on the table and support you through college, you owe me some explanation, when I ask for it. Is that clear?”

It was a decision I made on my own, for me to work and him to study. He tried to talk me out of it in the beginning, but I decided to do it my way, I am like a parent to him anyway. I did finish high-school though, and took some other classes on the internet.

“Bad mood, sis?”

I take a deep breath. “Very.”

“Aren’t you gonna go to work?”

Good question, what’s the answer?

“I don’t know if I still have a job, but yeah, I’m going.”

“Pissed off the wrong people?”

That hardly explains what I truly did, but I nod as ‘yes’.

Maybe I should not have stuck money on his forehead?

Well, what’s done, is done, so move on, Kylie!

Come rain or shine, can’t wait to find out what gods have in store for me today!
