Chapter thirty nine

As they got both inside the car, Basil start driving, heading at the village where Irish is living. She couldn't stop to feel tense while they're on the way knowing her parents knew what happened five years ago. Angelita and Larry regretted that they blind by his money. But Irish didn't regret after all. She can't imagine what will be their reaction if they see him later.

"Love." Basil held her hand while still looking in the way. "You look tense. What is bothering you? Hmmm?"

"I'm just thinking." She pouted and looked at him. “My parents knew what happened to us back then and they really mad at you. They regretted that they chose your money than to me." She spilled out.

His forehead knotted with sadness in the eyes. "And you regretted as well?

"Nope." She shook her head. "Because if you didn't come to my life, we're not being together right now." She pinched his hand and smiled at him. "Just prepare yourself later, especially to Bethena."
