After dropping Colby off, it was now just Kade and I, alone. I nervously looked in the review mirror intending to just take a quick peek at him but our eyes ended up connecting.
Kade's upper lip tugs into a small smile. " Eyes on the road red."
I puffed out an irritated air, suddenly annoyed by his boyish smile. He was acting like nothing was going on between us, as if we didn't need to talk.
Deciding that we need to talk sooner or later, I turned down a small road that no one usually drives through. I parked beside the curb and turn off the ignition.
