LIES— I was about to do the same thing I detested most all my life, I was about to tell a lie.

Telling a lie to a man like Nathaniel was the last thing on everyone's mind. I am talking about a man who could tell the difference between one's heartbeat and the pulses.

I am talking about a man that could read anonymous feelings off my face.

It was a difficult thing to do but it was so much better than having to face his rage. I was certain now that he had most probably heard everything we talked about in the car and was only playing along all this while.

If that was not enough, the scent of incense in my skin had most definitely given me away.

I could tell from everything that I was going to say that he was certainly not going to believe me.

I could say all I want in whatever way I wished or deemed possible but all he wanted at the moment was the truth. The truth I didn't know how he was going to accept.
