Chapter 25

Lovette POV

I quickly jotted down the directions he had provided over the phone and headed to the warehouse with Tasha by my side. I clutched the piece of paper in my hand tightly as I navigated the roads leading to the warehouse.

The warehouse loomed ahead of us, its tall metal walls and boarded-up windows making it look more like a prison than a place of business.

“Finally we are at what looks like a warehouse. Are you sure this is the place?” Tasha asked,

I nodded. “Yes, he gave me specific directions. He said it’s a large warehouse, and that it’s the only one in this area.”

The door was locked as we approached the entrance, but he had told me there would be a key hidden under a rock nearby. Sure enough, I found the key and unlocked the door.

The inside of the warehouse was dimly lit and musty. Boxes and crates were stacked high, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling. Tasha and I walked deeper into the warehouse, our footsteps echoing in the vast space.

“This is creepy,” Tasha whisper
