For some time, I stood still in the second-floor hallway. Even though Raff was gone, I still stood alone, feeling increasingly disheveled.

Gin came out of the room and walked closer from behind. From his body odor and the sound of his footsteps, I knew it was him. Gin knelt down and picked up the gun I had just dropped.

"Casey, what's wrong? Did someone attack you?" Gin's voice sounded so worried. He handed me the gun that had fallen back into my hand. "Why are you still outside your room at night?"

With a blank stare, I tried to turn my head and look for Gin's figure; he was actually right in front of me.

"Gin, why do I always tremble every time I face Raff? There are so many things I want to ask him, but I'm always weak and don't dare to look him in the eye. You remember about my adoption history in the association, right?"
