Chapter 25: Suspicion

They waited inside the car for Carl to leave the building. Tyler was driving while Kyra was on the phone with friends. Kyra couldn’t believe they had gone her. They didn’t understand the plan, so the group headed home first. They all assumed Kyra volunteered to investigate Carl. As a result, Kyra had to track Carl’s movements until he arrived at his house. And thankfully for him, Tyler is an immediate driver.

“Guys, I am obliged to go home late because of what you did. But don’t worry, Tyler will drive me home.” Kyra said.

“I can accompany you; just meet me there. You can’t walk by yourself.“ Cael said.

“If you come back here, Cael, you could be stuck in traffic. And Tyler is with me, so there’s nothing to worry about,” Kyra said.

“That’s why I’m worried because he’s with you,” Cael said.

“Haist, Cael, please don’t worry about me,” Kyra replied. “Give the phone to Raven; I need to speak with her.”

A few seconds later, Raven is on the line. “Kyra…”

“Tyler and I will investigate
