The next day, when Kyra and Cael were getting out of the car, Kyra spotted Tyler. He was leaning up against a car, staring at them. The sight of the man irritated her. She was afraid it would bring up the incident in the shower again.
"Are you going somewhere? "Cael asked. "The bell will ring shortly."
Cael saw Kyra was not heading to the university's entrance gate. Kyra took a step forward and looked at him.
Kyra said, "I simply need to buy something."
"Do you want me to accompany you? "Cael asked.
"I don't think I'll need a bodyguard. Just go," Kyra urged.
Cael chuckled. "All right, you're on your own now. I'm going in."
Cael turned his back on Kyra since she said nothing. He dashed to the next building after quickly scanning his ID on the machine. While Kyra walked closer to Tyler, Tyler smiled at her.
As Kyra approached Tyler, she said, "Give me my ID."
Tyler is holding a bag and wearing a varsity jacket. As Kyra neared, his smile broadened.
Tyler said, "Good morning to you as well."
"Give me my ID," Kyra said.
Tyler walked over to Kyra and spoke to her. "You're the one who needs me. I believe you should be kind to me."
Kyra breathed deeply. She told Tyler, "If I want to crush your bones, I can."
Tyler chuckled and moved his face near Kyra's ear. "I know your secret."
Tyler smiled and moved his face away from Kyra; she did not know what Tyler meant. Kyra could not utter a single word. She was confident that she had successfully wiped his memory of what had happened in the locker room and that she had not failed to use the memory spell.
Tyler locked his gaze on Kyra's face before shifting his gaze to his wristwatch. "You aren't on the dean's list, are you?"
Kyra raised an eyebrow in response to Tyler's words. "Despite not being on the dean's list, I have a good GPA."
Tyler chuckled. "I know."
Tyler's words startled Kyra. "You know?"
Tyler chuckled. "I'd like some coffee."
"All right, I'll go to the cafeteria and get you some," Kyra responded.
"No, I want coffee from there," Tyler said, motioning to the well-known coffee shop on their street.
"Seriously? "Kyra said.
------
At the table, Kyra and Tyler sat across from each other. Kyra checked her wristwatch a few times. He hadn't given her ID, although they had been sitting there for some minutes.
She breathed deeply. That was the first time she had been taken advantage of.
'He's a pain in the neck. I despise him so much.' Kyra thought.
"Are you going to give me my ID? We've been here for 20 minutes, and my class is about to begin," Kyra said.
Tyler said, "Our Prof isn't coming."
"What made you think that?" Kyra asked. "Also, what..." she realized she and Tyler were in the same class on the same subject. Kyra stopped talking. Tyler was clueless because he mainly slept in class.
They left the coffee shop and went away. Tyler seems to be purposefully slowing down each step, so she walks ahead of him. It irritated Kyra even more when traffic lights overtook them on the road. Tyler took out his phone and startled Kyra by snapping a photo of her. Kyra looked at Tyler.
Kyra said, surprised, "Did you take a picture of me?"
Tyler said, "Yes."
"Delete it," Kyra said.
"Why would I do that? It's my phone, and I'll decide what to do with the things on it," Tyler said.
"But that's my photo; I have the right to forbid you from taking my picture," Kyra said.
"Take it if you can," Tyler urged.
Tyler was too tall for Kyra to take up his phone, and he could evade her basic attacks. Tyler put one of his hands around her waist and gripped the phone as it lifted.
"Wow, you have a tiny waist. Are you getting enough nutrients? "Tyler asked, surprised.
"Obviously, I eat. Please don't make fun of me. Please return my ID to me." Kyra said. "The class is going to begin."
Tyler simply gazed at her instead of responding. "What?" Kyra pleaded, "Please hand over my ID."
"You look the same in pictures as in person," Tyler said.
"What are your plans with my picture? Will you extort money from me in the future? "Kyra said, annoyed.
Tyler winked and said, "I'm going to make this my wallpaper."
Tyler took her hand and placed her ID in it just as she was ready to speak. Tyler moved away from Kyra, saying, "See you around."
The traffic lights counter beeped as cars came to a halt. Kyra instantly after Tyler as he walked swiftly.
"How come you're doing this? "Kyra asked Tyler.
Tyler returned his gaze to Kyra and smiled at her. "What is the point of knowing?"
"Because I'm curious about your approach? Why are you doing this? "Kyra asked.
Tyler turned away from Kyra and walked into the university, saying, "There's no reason."
As Tyler walked down the corridor and reached his teammates, Kyra gazed at him.
------
They drove for two hours, including traffic. While their car approached a huge gate, Kyra looked out the window. They went through an expansive garden for almost three minutes before their car arrived at the house.
Kyra and Cael entered the house and began strolling around. Mr. Noris, Cael's father's assistant, welcomed them.
Mr. Noris said, "Welcome, hunters. Chief and Mr. Montenegro are expecting you in the dining room."
Cael said, “Hello, Mr. Noris...”
Mr. Noris did not smile, but he turned away and left, and they promptly followed. They, like Mr. Noris, entered through a door. Inside the dining room, they found Luke and Mr. Montenegro.
"They've arrived," Mr. Noris said.
After a serious talk, Luke and Cain, standing near the window, turned around. Cael and Kyra promptly approached their father.
Cael said, "Hello, Dad."
Cain said, "Hello, son."
Kyra said, "Hello, Uncle Cain."
"Hello, Kyra. Do my eyes deceive me, or you're losing weight? "Cain asked.
"Perhaps because of Cael's blood, I've been drinking it more this week than water," Kyra joked.
For his visitors, Cain prepared several delicious dishes. "The government continues to be proud of its "achievements"." Mr. Montenegro said, "It was as if they knew what was happening. They benefit from what we work for."
"They believe only what they see. Those who hold such notions are stupid," Luke said.
"The demon we're hunting emerges in several locations. There is no particular location. What will they do to escape out of both worlds? "Cael asked.
Cain said, "That's also the puzzle for us. We think someone has summoned them. How and by whom? We'll find out."
"Does that imply there are no further clues? "Kyra asked.
"You're correct, Kyra," Cain said.
"Chief, what happened to the burned demon? What did you find interesting about it? "Cael asked.
Luke shifted his gaze to Kyra. "Has your power absorbed the strength of that demon? That it is neither dead nor demon."
"What is this creature if it isn't a demon? "Cael asked.
Luke gave Cain a sidelong glance before saying, "I'll conduct tests and find out something. The monster who was burned was human."
"Was it human? "Kyra and Cael both spoke at the exact moment.
Luke said, "Someone or something snatched their souls."
"How did you find out? "Cael asked.
They went to the laboratory after dinner and joined up with Beatrix there. Luke, Kyra, and Cael stood before the burned demon on the stainless steel table, tying its entire body together.
"What are your thoughts, Chief? Is it possible that the burned demon you captured will revert to human form? "Cain asked.
"It needs a soul. It won't become a human as long as its soul isn't in its body," Luke said.
Cain examined his wineglass. "Where has it lost its soul?"
Cain's question received no response. Nobody knows where the burned demon's soul is.
"Chief, you need to get a new hunter," Cain said. "On their own, Kyra and Cael can't manage supernatural entities. They're looking for a teammate."
"There's nothing to be worried about. I'll handle it," Luke said.
"Partners? Does that imply that there will be many hunters? "Cael asked.
"Six hunters will be enough," Cain said.
"All right," Cael exclaimed.
Cain sends his visitors to the car. Cael hugged his father before leaving and getting in the car, while Luke went first. Kyra did the same.
Cain said, "Be careful."
Kyra was in the rear seat with Cael in the passenger seat. Kyra turned to face Cain, who was still watching them drive away.
"Have you seen your father's ability, Cael? "Kyra asked.
Kyra caught Cael's eye. "I've only seen what he has once," Cael said.
"How good is he? "Kyra asked.
"He's the Alpha,"
Thank you for reading my story.
Kyra was the first one to get up in the morning. She ran to their hideout in the nearby park. Kyra does it every morning to maintain her strength. It did not quickly exhaust her while doing it, especially when they were hunting demons. Tyler was one of the last people she expected to encounter at the park. Many women are watching him while he does push-ups. Kyra didn't recognize him at first, but when he smiled at her when he stood up to sip water, he saw her among the women watching him. When Kyra saw Tyler was about to approach her, she pivoted around and bolted. Tyler simply grinned and pursued Kyra. Kyra sped away. She didn't glance back to relieve her anxiousness. Her jogging returned to normal after it convinced her she was far away. 'What the hell is she up to? What brings him to our village? Does this imply that he also lives here? Why here, when there are so many villages and subdivisions? 'Kyra thought. Kyra grimaced as she dashed forward. "What made you flee? Do you bel
Damon grabbed his bag off the floor and zipped it up. “I don’t have time for that. As you can see, I’m a working student. I study in the morning and work at night.” Cael took something from his wallet and handed it to Damon. It was a calling card. Damon took it immediately. “If you change your mind, just call that number,” said Cael. “Let’s go, Cael. We might be late for class,” said Kyra. Kyra walked quickly, and Cael followed her. Cael spoke again before finally leaving the building. “Ordinary eyes can’t see what’s written there. You don’t have to work anymore when you accept my offer. See you!” Cael said until he was out of Damon’s sight. Damon looked at the card he was holding. There is a big letter A written there, and it is gold-colored. Below, the card’s name is a number. Teen Hunters - 836 4837. ------ Damon stared at the black card given to him by a man named Cael. He had just finished class, and a few hours had passed since he had seen and fought that strange creature
Damon noticed that Kyra's palm lit up, and the couple fainted. Cael and Damon were about to bring them into the bathroom, but before the two men could move, the couple floated in the air. "Well done," said Cael. "Behind you, Cael," said Kyra, casting her dagger. Cael immediately sat down to avoid the blade, and he turned around. The snake demon was behind him. "Get out of there, Cael," said Damon. Cael noticed Damon throwing a fireball repeatedly, hitting the snake demon's neck. 'The snake demon is afraid of fire,' Cael thought. Cael turned towards Damon. "Use your fire, Damon," said Cael. "Aim me!" said Kyra. Damon looked at Kyra. Although Damon couldn't understand what Kyra said, his fire came out with his two hands, and Kyra was his target. Damon's fire penetrated Kyra's energy ball, and Kyra threw it at the serpent. She trapped the snake into the energy ball, and the serpent struggled. "Cael, finish it," said Kyra. Cael plunged his boomerang blade into the snake, and an ex
Kyra went straight to the library. She found a good book there with modern layout designs of modern houses. Khali needed that to get an idea of her project. The book is not where she saw it when she last visited the library. ‘I wish I had just borrowed the book if I only knew it would be lost,’ Kyra thought. Someone standing behind her and reaching from the top of the bookshelf startled Kyra. She looked up, and it surprised her to recognize who it was. Tyler leaned over her, and their noses almost touched because his face was just too close to hers. Kyra immediately removed her gaze from Tyler, and because of what she suddenly did, she and Tyler collided. The two of them hit each other’s foreheads. “Aw!” “Ouch!” “What are you doing?” Kyra said, annoyed. She caresses her forehead, which she thinks is blushing. Tyler caresses his reddened forehead. “I’m just helping you. I know this is what you’re looking for,” said Tyler. It surprised Kyra when Tyler handed her the book she was
Tyler just smiled at what Kyra said. He thought she would struggle to hold her hand, but Kyra didn't stop him. They started walking towards the woman, who didn't seem to know that the two of them were approaching. She was still busy dancing on the football field. The woman was dancing an old-fashioned dance that Tyler was familiar with. It was a traditional dance from the sacred mountains in ancient times. Tyler stopped walking when he noticed the woman was naked, and what served as her clothing was her tail. She also has long silver hair that is as long as its tail. What Kyra had seen astounded her. Kyra suddenly felt a nervousness that she could not understand. The woman stopped dancing and turned to the two of them. Kyra noticed a strange light all over her body. It is like a fire, but she's not sure. Kyra turned to Tyler. She doesn't know if Tyler also sees what she sees. Their eyes met, and Kyra and Tyler saw her golden yellow eyes. "Who are you?" the woman asked. Kyra pulls
Kyra dashed to the cafeteria where she, Cael, and Damon had planned to meet. However, the two were not there when she entered the school cafeteria. While searching, Kyra attempted to call Cael. When Cael does not answer, she dials Damon's number. Their phones, like Cael's, are simply ringing. Cael and Damon were nowhere to be found when Kyra checked the big clock in the main building thirty minutes before break time. Kyra cast a glance in the group's direction in the distance. As she arrived, she noticed Cael and Damon seated next to a woman called Lilibeth. "What happened to them? "Kyra whispered. "What's all the fuss about?" Kyra turned around, Tyler standing next to her as she watched the men circle the woman as she sat on the bench next to the two men. Tyler recognized the two students who were sitting next to the girl. Those were Kyra's friends. Tyler also noticed his teammates who were there. He had been looking for them since earlier. "What's going on? Why are they surroundi
Kyra nodded and swiftly walked up to Lilibeth, who was off in the distance. Beatrix trailed behind her. Lilibeth was at the quadrangle unconscious and seated on a bench. Only Kyra and Beatrix were there when Kyra looked around. A powerful hit to her tummy shocked both of them. Beatrix sprang to her feet and buried herself among the shrubs. "Do you think you can beat me like that?" Kyra turned to face the woman whose entire body was ablaze, but she was the only one who could see it. It has nine tails that dance around in the air. When she stood up, the kitsune attacked her, and she flung herself on the grass. Electricity crept closer to the kitsune, but it quickly evaded after Kyra touched the ground. Kyra again felt the powerful object hit her face, and she flew back to the grass. Kyra isn't sure whether her ability can manage the kitsune alone, but to eliminate it, Kyra will do everything. She noticed the movement of the ground. Beatrix stood in the distance with both hands raised a
“That girl is pretty creepy,” said Monti. “I had goosebumps on what she said. What kitsune, and why does she say you killed that VP?” They were already outside the woman’s house. The three of them had not moved their gaze away from home. They rushed up to the car and stepped inside. Kyra’s face was frowning, so she didn’t face Monti, but she answered his question. “I also don’t know, and do you believe in kitsune, and I killed it?” Kyra asked. “Of course not,” Monti said, “Apart from the old-fashioned myths about them in Japanese mythology, it’s impossible to have a kitsune here.” Tyler said, “But you believed her prognosis...” Monti did not respond straight away. He started scratching his head. “What she said is practically true; it’s as though she knows me already.” Tyler began driving. “I’ll take you to your house, Monti,” “Thanks,” Monti replied. “However, it seems that VP should consult with the doctor.” Tyler gave Kyra a sidelong glance. “How is your arm?” “I’m OK,” Kyra
