She looked at her with an itch to say something mean. Something terrible to hurt her feelings. Her intended victim didn't know what was coming. Not until she passed three sinks and stood beside her. She folded her arms, rested her weight on her left hip and glared at the mirror. The small smile on her victim's face vanished when she looked up at the mirror and saw her glaring at her. "Why are you here?" Was that rhetorical? She freed one hand and pointed at her in the mirror. "Seriously. Why are you here? And I don't mean in the restroom, I mean at this school. You have friends but I seriously can't see why they would hang out with you."

A girl came out of one of the bathroom stalls just in time to give her comment. "Oh! Abby, maybe she's like a stray pet. You know, like those animals that people only take in out of pity." The tap was turned on.

Abby laughed. "You're right. A little hippie pet for Jody and the others."
