Chapter Twenty-three: [The inexperienced, naive friend]

That late afternoon in Ericka Mendel's farm house, a conversation lasted an hour about the gift of faith that God's holy Spirit had sown in her heart, mind, and soul through her experiences fighting for life against death.

The little Teddy boy's eyes began to close uncontrollably, but he still listened to her. All people react normally like this when they hear the powerful and active word of God for the first time. This word judges a person's mind and intentions and pierces the spirit and soul, joints, and bone marrow. Its sharpness is comparable to a double-edged sword.

Even at this young age, when not much knowledge has been ingrained aside from his struggles accepting his mother's broken marriage and his sporadic interactions with his biological father, who lives apart from them, Teddy is willing to submit to the Heavenly Father, who is above all.
