Chapter 70

It had been a while since I discovered that my parents were missing. I talked to the detectives holding the case and they assured me that they were going to do everything to find mom and dad. I had no choice but to hold onto that hope.

I did my best to distract myself from thinking about them. I had been training almost every hour of the day, travelling the woods just to memorise every corner; I was so determined to improve and be better.

In our sword sparring training, I put all the anger, anxiousness, and sadness into the sword I was holding as I did my best to defend myself from left to right.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I let go of my sword and came near to Fenris whose shoulder was bleeding. I just tore it with my sword.

He smiled. "I'm fine, Kira. As if I'm not used to this."

I frowned at him. "I feel like you're just weakening your strength so it would look like I'm outsmarting you."

"You think so?" He chuckled. "You think I would not slice your body into half if you're not good in defens
