Chapter 14: Secret Admirer.

Wendy's POV.

The walk to class was one of the most tedious things I've ever done in a long while. In a real sense, I'd prefer to work several shifts than to walk to class. I should have listened to Aunt Linda and taken the wheelchair but I was claiming to be a strong woman.

"How are you feeling now Wendy, sorry dear." One of my coursemates sympathized with me and I gave him one of my best forced smiles.

I don't like the idea of everyone telling me sorry, I hate it when I am in a state of sympathy, all those pitiful stares and sorry from different directions make me mad. I hate to be in a vulnerable state, it's not just me.

"You should have listened to Aunt Linda and taken the wheelchair, it would have been faster and much more convenient for you," May muttered and I just scoffed.

"And attract the whole world's pity, no thank you, I think I love it like this. It's stressful but I know I'll manage, you can walk ahead, I'll catch up."
