Chapter Fifty-One - Surrender

“Now the entire world will know that we’re in a relationship. Alexander and dad will know that I’m in Singapore with you and they’ll now be after your blood. I’ll be grounded like a teenager for no fault of mine! What have you done, Nicholas?” demanded Alyssa as she slumped onto the couch opposite him. Already at her wit's end, Alyssa covered her face with her hands, not wanting to face the reality.

“I’ve already told Alexander that we are in a relationship, remember? So this shouldn’t shock him at all!” Nicholas defended himself.

“That was different. He took it as a joke!” she pointed out.

“I didn’t mean it as a joke.”

“It wasn’t real anyway, Nicholas. That’s the reason Alexander didn’t react much, but this time, the entire world will know about it,” she explained as a feeling of dread clutched at her heart.

“I’m sure Anthony won’t tell a soul. He’ll try to find out the truth.” Alyssa sighed, knowing that Nicholas was equally worried that Anthony would publish it in the celebrit
