The entire way to return to the Fort, Nicholas was drowned in his own thoughts. The solution he was trying to find out, was always in front of his eyes, yet he never could sense it.

If he didn't go to meet Elijah, he probably wouldn't have realised the solution.

Leaning on the car seat, Nicholas sighed inwardly. Damon was also silent after the truth broke out to him. He did not speak a word since then.

Dave noticed the sullen mood of his Alpha since he came out of the lunch. Though he did not know what had happened exactly, he could guess something was wrong.
