Chapter Twenty One

Natasha's pov

Shame could not begin to describe how I felt in that moment. The acute awareness of my body's reaction to his advances made things even ten times worse. Without looking back I ran out of his hotel room, feeling stupid and at the same time moronic for letting him talk me into kissing him.

I heard him call out my name as I slammed the door behind me but I paid him zero attention. I wanted to be as far away from him as possible.

My legs carried me without the knowledge of my brain straight back to my room on the ground floor. It was only when I came face to face with my room door, I realized that I had even left the top floor.

I inserted my key into the lock and twisted it to open the door.

I entered the room and closed the door behind me and slid down to the ground, my back against the door frame, glad that I was finally in the comfort of my own space, well temporary space.

Now alone, the memory of what I had almost done assaulted me like an abusive parent and I shuddered a
