Alexa sat at her desk, pen in hand, staring blankly at the paper in front of her. She knew what she wanted to say, but the words just wouldn't come out right. Finally, after a long moment of silence, she began to write.

"Dear Anthony,

I don't even know where to begin. I feel like such a fool for getting involved in all of this. I should have known better, I should have seen it coming. But I was blind, and now it's too late. I'm sorry, Anthony. I'm sorry for everything.

I know you must hate me now, and I understand why. I lied to you about the pregnancy, and I'm sorry. I only did it to buy us some time to get out of that situation.
