ALEXA'S POV

"Would it be alright if you spend your day with me?" I stood there confused as he asked me.

"My son is out on a date with his girlfriend after classes, so you're left with nothing to do at home, correct?" I nodded in response to his question.

"Then I don't mind taking you out. You won't have to stay longer than a couple hours. It will make me happy to have your company around me." He continued walking while he had his hands in his pocket as he makes his way to his desk where his keys were, but my feet seemed glued to the ground as I stared at the back of his gray suit.

My gaze slowly followed his movement, trying to calm the rapid beating of my heart. Why was I being asked out by someone I don't know, someone who hates me no less? Why didn't Nolan come along with him? I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth it to try to explain things. Is it really a good idea to let myself be around Mr.Brown after what Nolan said?
