Chapter 43 Raining Monsters

Getting to patrol with Celine is probably going to hurt my ear more than my feet as we walk along town. She’s been talking nonstop, and I could not even remember half the things she said because I could not relate to them.

I take back what I said a while ago. I don’t think that I want to act human. I just want to go and become a wolf and get lost in the forest. I AM GOING DEAF AT THIS POINT!

I decided to try to focus on looking around, hoping that something would distract me from listening to her. Fortunately, Duncan managed to catch up with us and is responding to Celine, by which I mean arguing with her about whatever it is that they are talking about.

Humans. They’re just birds, specifically chickens, that can’t see to control their mouth.

My eyes start to scan every dark alleyway. My wolf eyes allow me to see around every dark corner, while my nose lets me smell anything that would be invisible to our eyes.

So far, everything has been peaceful, except for the two chickens bes
