Chapter Forty X

Kingston slowly opened his eyes when he felt someone opened his cell. He didn't move immediately until he recognized whoever had suddenly entered recklessly, and it was Vincent.

He didn't thought that Vincent will come to see him this quick. He expect that Vincent will visit him tomorrow or after a week of him being confined inside of the dirty cell and yet again, Vincent didn't fail to surprise him.

Despite the difficulty of lifting himself and keeping his body steady, he still try to sit on his own which after three failed attempts he finally give up.

He looked at Vincent, his eyes were holding a grudge behind them, hiding. He never did see Vincent as someone he can call a friend. Growing up experiencing a lot of pain and sufferings with nothing but himself and his willingness to survive even with his naive mind; he was forced to get through all of those things and because of that, he learned to not trust anyone and not let them have a place in his life.
