Chapter Thirty VI

"Are you hiding something from me?" Vincent asked with his eyes firmly closed. The risk of knowing if she really can lie to him petrifies him more than a gun pointed to his head would. However, what petrifies him, even more, is to know that Celestine is innocent and he had accused her. 

He trusted Celestine and he's more than willing to trust her even more now that he heard something about her that can ruin everything they had in a snap of a finger. 

Celestine put the phone down for a moment and try her best to stifle a cry. She bit her lower lip and tucked some of her hair strands behind her ears despite her shaky hands. 

"Celestine, answer me, darling. Like I promise, I'll believe you."
