Childhood friends and steak

Word gets fast. Super fast in their hometown. Ken was pretty good at spreading the news of his impromptu homecoming. Even Chris who was living in the next town was quick to come home when he received the text from Ken.

He wanted to be with family, sure.

But he wanted to be with them and not the whole community of ranchers and cattle breeders. It was nice to catch up and make up for lost time but he was here for family and serendipity. A time entirely devoted for him and his family because there was some insane feeling inside his head that tells him that this was a good idea and that this might be his last time to visit them. It was a preposterous idea but that is how he felt.
