Chapter 22 : When She Cries

(Aiden's P.O.V)

I annoyingly put down my phone in the table. Dammit! She's clearly avoiding me. She always tell me she's busy but I know that she's just using her work as an excuse.

Just like what happened just now, I invited her for lunch but she declined saying that she have a lot of things to finish in their office. Like I would believe that crap again! She's been using that same excuse for what? Almost 2 weeks already?

"Aiden.", narinig kong tawag sa pangalan ko at parang doon lang ako nagising mula sa malalim kong pag-iisip.

"What?"

"Pare, nakikinig ka ba?", tanong sa akin ni Vance na nakakunot-noo at siyang nagsasalita kanina sa harapan dito sa conference room. Aside from Vance, my other colleagues; Chino, Dwight, Ian, and Stiles, are here as well. We're currently discussing about a business we're trying to venture together.

"Of course I am.", I just lied.

Dammit! Dahil sa kakaisip ko sa ginagawang pag-iwas sa akin ng asawa ko, palagi na lang nawawala ang atensyon ko sa trabaho
